Talking Donkey Designs was
created out of a passion for design and a desire to serve others by using our
God-given talents to meet a need for innovative, effective design. Our
collaborative creative process delivers exciting designs that are relevant to
today’s audiences. Our goal is to exceed your expectations with designs
that get people talking - about you, your organization, your products, your
mission.
The
name, Talking Donkey, comes from the story of Balaam in the book of Numbers.
It was used with the idea that God can use anyone to do great things, even an
old beaten donkey, and our goal is to help you achieve great things.
We
are a husband and wife team who founded Talking Donkey Designs because we
believe that our combined talents, vision and experience offer our clients a
unique resource. We understand what it
takes to turn a vision into an innovative, marketable design reality.
Bryan
began his career in design while pursuing degrees in architecture from Clemson
University and Virginia Tech. At Virginia Tech, he helped lead the
team that designed and built the 2005 Virginia Tech Solar House, which went on
to win numerous design awards and which has been featured nationally
on ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” and HGTV’s “I Want That,”
and in magazines such as Dwell and Popular Mechanics.
Ultimately,
Bryan felt called to "higher" design and began creating
thought-provoking, conversation-starting designs for a faith-based apparel
company, earning recognition and a spot in a special exhibit at The Museum of
Design Atlanta in 2007. Today, Bryan’s creative talents and design
expertise are devoted to Talking Donkey Designs.
Kim
pursued degrees in marketing, corporate communication, and mass communication
from the College of Charleston and University of Georgia. She currently teaches
business communication courses for the University of South Carolina and online
for Emmanuel College. In addition to her work in academia, Kim has over ten
years of experience in marketing and public relations consulting.
Bryan
and Kim met when they were both asked to work on the leadership team for a new
ministry outreach for their church.
Bryan was asked to design the logo and print materials, while Kim was working
on promoting the ministry in the surrounding community. And a divine partnership was born.
